‎" Gand, Chez P.F. De Goesin-Verhaeghe, 1831 (vol. I), 1832 (vol.II). 2 vols in-8°, [1] 8 pp +(4)nn pp + viii pp + 592 pp, describing 5799 lots. [2] xiv pp + 716 pp,describing lots 5800 - 15335. Both volumes bound in blind gry-blue wrappers, uncut copies, bookblock of volume 1 is broken ; spine of volume 2 has been re-inforced with a strip of black linen. Importan book auction catalogue of the great belgian bibliophile Van de Velde. He was the last head librarian of Louvain University during the old regime, successor of Paquot. He will be remembered for his efforts to safeguard the library from dispersal and destruction during the French Revolution. His private collection contained 450 incunables.
