Bound in pictorial publisher's full cloth ( designed by Jules Adeline). Uncut and unopened copy, cloth of binding dustsoiled, interior fine. Published in 150 copies only. These three issues, published here in one volume, were originally printed in '' Bulletin de la Société des Amis des Sciences naturelles de Rouen '' in 1890, 1892 and 1894. In the preface to this book edition the author states that he kept 150 copies of the three articles apart in order to publish them as a book. In this book publication the page numbering of the bulletin was maintained. He further announces that he will continue the project, 3 other issues (4-6) will follow. These issues appeared in 1899(4) , 1928-29 (5) and finally issue 6 in 1930-31. A complete set of the 6 issues, in bookform, is therefore extremely rare . We offer here the first 3 issues. On the author - photographer and his unique and obstinate project to make a photographical inventory of the remarquable century old trees which adorned the Normandy landscape at the end of the 19th. century - see Didier Mouchel - Les Vieux arbres de la Normandie .
