Contains e.g. contributions by Sigismund von Radecki , Eberhard Schultz , Peter Li , Wilhelm von Schramm , Hans Hofer, Gert Solms, Bert Engel, Marcel Berger.... Founded by Wilhelm Graf Kielmansegg, edited by Alfred Flechtheim, Herman von Wedderkop, Viktor Wittner a.o.'' Der Querschnitt'' was the most sophisticated of the general-cultural, literary and artistic monthlies published in Germany during the Interbellum. Till 1933 it was the platform for left-intellectual and avant-garde orientated artists and writers, with a very international character. The graphic aspect of the periodical was also very important with in each issue photo reproduction of major photographs, and also graphic contributions by George Grosz , Frans Masereel , Picasso, Jean Cocteau. In 1933, issue 4, the periodical was no longer published by Propyläen-Verlag . It came under the influence of the Nazi regime. These issues are very hard to find. Price is for this issue.
