" London, William Potter & Sons, s.d. ( ca. 1880-1890), small in-4°, 80 pp ( Potter's catalogue) + 31 pp ( publicity of similar purveyors) + (16) lithographed pp (marked A-P). Original half cloth with printed boards. 16 pages are printed in two or three-toned lithography, all other pages have woodcut illustrations. The company, founded in 1846, and still active in 1938, manufactured and traded in goods and equipment for the diamond and jewellery trade. Their wares, as announced in this catalogue include shop equipment ( stands, shelves, glass and mahogany cases ), and jewellery cases , watch cases, price labels, jewellery tickets, engraved metal box plates, a huge range of window stands etc. . The catalogue contains also 25 pp. of publicity from their customers ; e.g. R.T. Bowman of Goswell Road for Gold Watches etc. T.T. Sturtevant of Clerkenwell Road ; Electro Plate manufacturer. Sydenham brothers of Tenbystreet in Birmingham for wedding rings. A.
