This is the reworked and enhanced edition of the 1966 Ugo Bozzi edition. Gaspard van Wittel (Van Vitelli , Gasparo degli Occhiali ) was born in Utrecht around 1652. He went to Italy in early age and became one of the most famous ''Vedute'' painters of his age.
