Hand-written note on flyleaf. The author, a journalist, was a founder of the Japan Times, a Tokyo English-language daily and later secretary and spokesman of Prince Ito, the first Japanese Resident-General in Korea Text in French. Rather biased account of the Japanese intervention in China.
