Impressive typographical facsimile production by the French '' Imprimerie Nationale '' published on the occasion of the 1889 World Exhibition. (Collection Orientale Tome XVI, deuxième série Tome II). The second volume which contains the Uyghur manuscript reproduction is entirely printed in colour heliogravure. The Tezkereh-I-Evliâ (Memorial des Saints) is an Uyghur text translated from the Persian. Uyghur is a language spoken by ca. 8.5 million people. It belongs to the Turkish language group and is spoken in Central Asia (Chinese province of Xinjiang and Kazakhstan).
