Thomas Erpinius (Leiden 1584 - 1624) published his grammar of the Arabic language in 1613. He was professor of oriental languages at Leyden university. Albertus Schultens succeeded him some 75 years later and reworked and indexed his grammar. This is the second edition of the Schultens version. The first (very rare) was published in 1748..
