'S Gravenhage, Martinus Nijhoff, 1861, in-4°, 35 x 26,5 cm, (12) nn pp + 48 pp + 100 lithographed plates printed on tipped on chinese paper (sur chine appliqué), contemporary full cloth, gilt title on front cover. Some slight foxing, a bit stronger on the very last pages, but a fine copy. The author became director of the Rijksmuseum at Amsterdam in 1876. He made the lithographs to illustrate this work himself. (Hilaire Hiler pp. 492). Bilingual edition (Dutch-French).
