"18. Antverpiae (Antwerpen), apud Ioannem Cnobbarum, 1636, small in-4°, title page engraved by Galle after a design by Rubens + xiii nn + 288 pp, with 30 engraved portraits by Corn. Galle after drawings by Jacques Francquart. contemporary full leather, fine gilt decorated spine, marbled endpapers, blue edges. (Some wear at 2 corners, upper joint split over 3 cm, but still a good/fine copy). According to the title-page, Curtius belonged to the same order and was a historiographer and ""diffinitor generalis"". Corneille de Corte, Brussels ca 1590-1638, was also counsellor to Ferdinand II. In-4, (20 X 16,5 cm), veau brun lisse, dos à trois nerfs de quatre fers, dentelle autour des plats avec fer ornemental central en forme de losange, tranches dorées (reliure de l'époque, plat superieur presque detache), page de titre gravee par Galle d'apres un dessin de Rubens + 13 ff. + 288 pp. avec 30 beaux portraits graves par Corn, Galle d'apres les dessins de Jacques Francquart. Edition originale.
