With the manuscript ex-libris in the upper margin of the title; ''Ex libris Monastii S(anc)ti Mauritii de Belloloco Ord. Sti Bened. Congreg. ... 1693'', modern ex-library stamp on verso title. This is the first scientific text edition of the lives of the early Roman Catholic martyrs. Many entries contain also the Greek transciption of the original text, printed in two colums, next to the Latin translation. This is the first edition, compiled by the French Benedictine monk Theodore Ruinart.."
