.: London, William Pickering, 1845, in-8°, 21 x 13,5 cm, engraved frontispiece portrait + lxxxii + 240 pp, index, contemporary full calf, gilt and blind-tooled fillets on the covers, gilt back, marbled edges, apart from some foxing on the first pages a handsome copy, with a prize-book ex-libris of Harrow, dated 1852 (to A.A. de Bourbel by the author). Contains some important refererences to the political situation of the Southern Low Countries in the 16th century. Languet ended his career as adviser to William the Silent, prince of Orange and died in Antwerp on the 3th of September 1581.
