"2. Berlin, J.J. Loose as issued. The countess was born in Grez (Brabant) and lost all her property during the French Revolution. She fled to Berlin where she earned a living as a pianist. In 1798 these two songs were published. Afterwards according to Fétis she also lived in Paris. It is quite uncommon to find 18th-century printed music of a woman composer. These romances are rare; not in Schnapper."
