Plate IX misnumbered as XI, Plate XI not called for in the text, 1 unnumbered plate plate bound after LXXVI. Contemporary half leather, marbled boards and edges, flyleaves foxed but interior very fine, plates without stains. (Unfortunately ONLY VOLUME ONE - of two). The Philadelphian architect Samuel Sloan (1815-1884) designed Bartram Hall, Joseph Harrison Town Mansion and other fine buildings in Philadelphia. His Model Architect was a highly influential book. The litho plates were printed by P.S. Duval , one of the finest 19th century American lithographers..
