Lille, Société de Saint-Augustin, Desclée, De Brouwer, 1889, in-8°, viii + 188 pp, folding map, 17 pl. h/t, fine colored boards (cartonnage d'éditeur), decorated endpapers, speckled edges, printed with red fillets. Colours of boards a bit faded, one endpaper a bit damaged by the removal of a tipped-in label, but still a fine/good copy. Rare account of a Roman Catholic missionary in Southern China at the end of the 19th century (before the Boxer uprising)..
