Viktor Alexandrovich Chizhikov (1935-2020), Peoples Artist of the Russian Federation, graphic artist. In 1952 he started working for the newspaper Housing Worker, where he got his first experience as a cartoonist. In 1953-1958 he studied at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute in the art department. Since 1955 he has worked in the magazine Crocodile. Since 1956 he has worked in the magazine Merry Pictures. Since 1958 he has worked in the magazine Murzilka. Since 1959 he has worked in the magazine Around the World. He has worked in easel graphics. He has participated in book, graphic and satire exhibitions in the USSR and abroad. He has also worked in Evening Moscow, Pioneer Pravda, Young Naturalist, Young Guard, Ogonyok, Pioneer, Nedele and other periodicals.
