William II's Correspondence with Nicholas II. 1894-1914 /Perepiska Vil'gel'ma II s Nikolaem II. 1894 1914 gg. The last telegram was dated 1 August 1914 the day of the outbreak of World War I. Revolutions broke out in both countries as a result of which Nicholas II and his family were killed and Wilhelm II went into exile in Holland. The correspondence of the emperors Nicholas II and Wilhelm II is printed in Russian translation from English originals and hand-written copies stored in the State Archive of the RSFSR.
