The magazine was published from December 1928 to February 1930. Editor-in-Chief Mikhail Koltsov. Regular employees Valentin Kataev, Yuri Olesha, Ilya Ilf, Evgeny Petrov, Mikhail Zoshchenko, Mikhail Svetlov. Nikolai Aseev, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Demian Bedny, Maxim Gorky, Mikhail Isakovsky also wrote for the magazine. Illustrated by Konstantin Rotov, Boris Efimov, Kukryniks, Bronislav Malakhovsky, Vladimir Kozlinsky, Viktor Denis, and others, the magazine published harsh material about Leningrads party leadership, which was regarded as anti-Soviet. Koltsov was removed from his post (reinstated after a penitential letter), but the magazine soon ceased to exist. We have thousands of titles and often several copies of each title may be available.
