‎London Hutchinson and Co. 1900 Première édition. Reliure d'éditeur en toile rouge avec motifs dorés et titre sur le dos. La décoration de la couverture avant représente trois serpents noirs et un motif Art nouveau en relief. Titres dorés. La reliure est en bon état, mais présente de légères traces d'usure et des chocs sur les bords. La charnière avant est légèrement affaiblie et le papier se fissure, mais tient toujours. Sur la page de garde avant figurent un cachet du Lycée d'Alger et un ex-libris appartenant à Alfred Holden. L'intérieur est propre et soigné, mais présente un léger noircissement, notamment sur les pages de garde. 368 pages. 190 × 130 mm (7œ × 5 pouces). Cutcliffe Hyne (18661944) était un écrivain anglais connu pour ses contributions à la littérature d'aventure et de science-fiction, en particulier pour ses récits explorant le mythe de l'Atlantide. Il s'agit ici de son uvre la plus célèbre. Il a également écrit sur le capitaine de marine gallois « Captain Kettle ». 368 pages. 190 × 130 mm (7œ × 5 pouces).‎

‎First edition. Publisher's binding in red cloth with gilt motifs and title on the spine. Decoration to the front board shows three black snakes, and an embossed art nouveau design. Titles in gilt. The Binding is in sound condition, but is slightly rubbed and bumped to the edges. The front hinge is slightly weak and the paper cracking, still holding though. To the front end paper are a stamp from the Lycée d'Alger and an ex-libris belonging to Alfred Holden. Internally clean and tidy, but light darkening, particularly to the end papers. 368 pages. 190 by 130mm (7œ by 5 inches). Cutcliffe Hyne (18661944) was an English writer known for his contributions to adventure and science fiction literature, particularly for his stories exploring the myth of Atlantis. This is his best known work. He also wrote about the Welsh sea captain "Captain Kettle." 368 pages. 190 by 130mm (7œ by 5 inches). .‎
