L'ouvrage est richement illustré de gravures sur acier réalisées par l'auteur. George Cruikshank (17921878) était un caricaturiste, graveur et illustrateur britannique. Fils d'Isaac Cruikshank, il fut salué de son vivant comme le « Hogarth moderne ». D'abord caricaturiste, il entretint une longue collaboration avec Dickens avant que leurs relations ne se détériorent. 230 by 140mm.‎

Binding slightly rubbed but attractive. Internally mostly clean with scattered foxing. The engraved title a little more marked and some markings to the yellow end papers. Very good condition overall.
