S.P. S.P. 1983 Première édition. L'un des 35 exemplaires seulement (celui-ci portant le n° 14) de cette lithographie en couleurs de Carzou. Un exemplaire en bon état et très séduisant, en rouge et noir, imprimé sur papier jaune. Légers plis sur le papier rigide uniquement. Verso vierge. 515 × 395 mm (20Œ × 15œ pouces). Il semble y avoir eu trois variantes de cette estampe : « Opera I », en rouge sur papier blanc ; « Opera II », en turquoise sur papier blanc ; et celle-ci, « Opera III », en rouge sur papier jaune. C'est de loin la plus remarquable des trois, et apparemment la moins courante dans les ventes aux enchères. Jean Carzou (1907-2000).

First edition. One of only 35 copies (this being #14) of this coloured lithograph by Carzou. A clean, attractive item, in red and black, printed on yellow paper. A touch of light creasing to the stiff paper only. Blank to rear. 515 by 395mm (20Œ by 15œ inches). There seem to have been three variants of this print. Opera I, red on white paper. Opera II, turquoise on white paper. And this, Opera III, red on yellow. By far the most striking of the three, and seemingly the least common at auction. Jean Carzou (1907-2000). .

Este tratado gramatical es el m s completo conservado de la escuela visig tica; pertenece a los llamados manuales avanzados y exeg ticos, ya que est concebido como un comentario pormenorizado a los tratados modelo de Donato, el Ars minor y el Ars maior, e incluye todos los principales campos de estudio definidos por la tradici n gramatical de la tard a Antig edad. Es adem s uno de los primeros y mejores ejemplos del proceso de cristianizaci n de la teor a gramatical latina operado en la escuela medieval.
