‎Amsterdam Proost en Brandt Nv. 1965 Première édition. Livre publicitaire relié pour Proost en Brandt. Reliure en tissu avec une photographie d'enfants à vélo chargés de livres. Le livre se compose de deux parties. Les pages 1 à 31 sont imprimées sur papier glacé et regorgent de photographies en noir et blanc sur les imprimeurs, ainsi que d'informations sur les services qu'ils fournissent et les équipements qu'ils utilisent. La deuxième partie, non paginée mais d'environ 100 pages, présente des exemples de papiers disponibles chez les imprimeurs. Environ cinq feuilles de chaque papier, toutes vierges à l'exception d'un bref paragraphe d'informations sur le grammage et le type de chaque papier. Un document intéressant sur l'histoire de la fabrication du papier. À l'origine libraire au XVIIIe siècle, l'entreprise s'est tournée vers le commerce du papier dans les années 1840. Elle est devenue Proost en Brandt en 1950, puis a finalement été rachetée par Paperlinx. Elle a fait faillite en 2015.‎

‎First edition. A hardback advertising book for Proost en Brandt. A cloth binding with a photograph of children cycling bicycles laden down with books. The book is in two parts. Pages 1-31 is printed on glossy paper, and is full of black and white photographs about the printers, and information about the services they provide and equipment they use. The second part, unpaginated but about 100 pages, is examples of paper stock available at the printers. About five sheets of each paper, all blank apart from a brief paragraph of information about the weight and type of each paper. An interesting piece of paper making history. Originally an 18th century bookseller, the firm moved across to paper trading by the 1840's. It became Proost en Brandt in 1950, and was eventually taken over by Paperlinx.
