‎Weimar im Verlage der Industrie Comptoirs 1799 Première édition. Couverture originale en papier orange. Il s'agit du troisième volume de la première année. (Étrangement, bien qu'il soit paru l'année suivant sa première publication, il est indiqué « Vingtième année » sur la couverture. Il s'agit probablement d'une erreur d'impression qui aurait dû indiquer « Deuxième année »). La couverture comporte des titres et des décorations en lettres gothiques noires. La couverture présente quelques marques et traces de frottement. La préface indique que le numéro était publié toutes les six semaines et contenait généralement cinq feuilles de texte ou plus, ainsi que « généralement quatre gravures sur cuivre, avec des caricatures en couleur et en noir et blanc, des dessins, des plans et des chansons annotées ». Ce numéro (complet en soi) contient les pages de texte [188]-278, [i]. avec le sommaire à la fin. Bien que le texte de ce numéro traite de Londres et de Paris, les illustrations concernent toutes Londres. Les illustrations sont les n° VII, VIII et IX (complètes pour ce volume). Les illustrations comprennent [vii] : « Meeting of the monied Interest » (Réunion des intérêts financiers) James Gillray. Gravure pliable coloriée à la main. London und Paris était un périodique culturel et de mode allemand publié entre 1798 et 1815 à Weimar, étroitement associé à la presse Industrie-Comptoir de Friedrich Justin Bertuch. Il était coédité par Karl August Böttiger, éminent érudit classique et journaliste, connu pour ses travaux sur l'art, le théâtre et l'Antiquité. Le périodique proposait un mélange de reportages sur l'art, le théâtre, la mode et la culture urbaine.‎

‎First edition. Original orange paper covers. This is the third volume in the first year. (Strangely, although appearing the year after it first appeared, it states "Twentieth year" to the front cover. Presumably this is a printers error for "Second year"). The covers have black titles and decoration in gothic script. A touch of marking and rubbing to the covers. The preface states that issue were published every six weeks, usually containing five or more sheets of text an "usually four copperplate engravings, with coloured and black and white caricatures, drawings, plans and notated songs." This issue (complete in itself) contains text pages [188]-278, [i]. with contents to the rear. Although the text of this issue deals with London and Paris, the illustrations are all regarding London. The illustrations are #VII, VIII & IX. (complete for this volume). The illustrations comprise [vii]: "Meeting of the monied Interest" James Gillray. hand coloured folding engraving.
