Réimprimé à plusieurs reprises au cours de la première année de publication, il s'agit ici du premier numéro, conforme à WorldCat / OCLC : 12417779. Le « Kent », un navire de la Compagnie britannique des Indes orientales à destination du Bengale et de la Chine, a pris feu dans le golfe de Gascogne lors de son voyage inaugural. Il y avait à bord 641 personnes, dont 20 officiers et 344 hommes du 31e régiment d'infanterie, ainsi que 43 femmes, 66 enfants, 20 passagers privés et un équipage de 148 personnes (officiers compris). Grâce à l'intervention rapide du capitaine Cook du « Cambria », qui passait par là, 547 vies ont été sauvées.‎

In very good, clean condition. An original paper printed title has been laid down to the spine. New end papers. The text is in good, clean condition. Fractional straining to the hinge to the final page. Complete. 78 pages. 17cm x 11cm. Signed on p. 61: "Servatus" who was later identified as Sir Duncan McGregor. Re-printed a number of times in the first year of publication, this is the first issue, conforming to WorldCat / OCLC: 12417779. The "Kent", an East Indiaman belonging to the British East India Company and bound for Bengal and China, caught fire in the Bay of Biscay during her maiden voyage. On board were 641 persons, including 20 officers and 344 men of the 31st Regiment of Foot, together with 43 women, 66 children, 20 private passengers, and a crew of 148 (officers included). By the prompt action of Captain Cook of the passing "Cambria", 547 lives were saved. .‎
