William Fryer Harvey (1885-1937) était un écrivain anglais réputé pour ses nouvelles dans les genres macabre, horreur et mystère. Né dans une riche famille quaker à Leeds, dans le Yorkshire (Royaume-Uni), il a fait ses études dans des écoles quakers et au Balliol College d'Oxford. Fryer Harvey a ensuite obtenu un diplôme de médecine à Leeds, mais sa mauvaise santé l'a empêché de pratiquer pleinement la médecine, ce qui l'a conduit à se concentrer sur l'écriture. 243 pages. 180 x 125 mm‎

Gilt title and decoration to front board.Cloth at spine has started to split and appears to have been neatly repaired. Some foxing internally but overall in good condition. William Fryer Harvey (18851937), was an English writer renowned for his short stories in the macabre, horror, and mystery genres. Born into a wealthy Quaker family in Leeds, Yorkshire (UK) where he was educated at Quaker schools and Balliol College, Oxford. Fryer Harvey would later earned a medical degree from Leeds, but due to ill health was prevented from practising medicine fully, leading him to focus on writing. 243 pages. 180 x 125 mm (7 x 5 inches). .‎
