A nice copy of this work, produced on the 800th Anniversary of the Conquest. First Edition. Green cloth with gilt titles and decoration to the front board. There is a little rubbing and marking to the boards, with a touch of edgewear. The front end paper has a little creasing, and there are some small closed tears to the edges. The title and text pages have light foxing to them. The rest of the book has intermittent spotting. The first few leaves have light creasing to them. One introductory leaf with text and explanation to both pages. Followed by 42 leaves, with a full page engraving to the recto only of each leaf. 240 x 510 mm (9œ x 20 inches).
