‎First Edition. Undated but 1949. Charming religious children's story about donkeys. Original dust jacket, with colour Pieck illustration pasted to front. Dust jacket is slightly soiled and lightly nicked at edges. One almost invisible repair also to jacket (only visible from inside). Underneath, blue cloth covered hardback boards with gilt titles to spine and front. Some darkeing to front and rear endpapers. 4 Lovely full-page colour plates by Pieck. 28 Other full page black and white illustrations. Overall in very good clean shape. 119 pages. 260 x 205 mm (10Œ by 8 inches).‎
