A delightfully detailed etching inscribed and pencil signed. A good early strike. On paper with watermark of F. J. Head & Co. There is some evidence of having been in a mount, but otherwise in superb condition. Blank to verso. Image: 150 x 260 mm (6 x 10Πinches). Sheet: 200 x 300 mm. Peter Grahame (1836 - 1921) was a Scottish artist who trained at the Trustees' Academy in Edinburgh under Robert Scott Lauder. His landscapes were influenced by the paintings of Horatio McCulloch, and the poetry of Sir Walter Scott. He enjoyed great success at the Royal Scottish Academy, and at the Royal Academy, London.
