First edition. This appears to be a deluxe edition for the home market as captions are written in both Japanese and English. The binding is in snakeskin, (probably faux snakeskin), with purple ribbon binding intact. Japanese titles to the outside and image of soldiers helmet and straw hat. 2 red & black maps, (one of Cha-Pei & one entitled "map of Sino-Japanese distuarbances (sic), Shanghai") + 48 pp. of black and white photographs depicting the Japanese invasion of Shanghai. Captions are in Japanese and English. Overall in excellent condition. There is a tiny loss to the top and bottom edge of the spine. Very small split to the binding edge. A couple of marks to the cover - but overall in excellent condition. Unpaginated but title, 2 maps, 47 leaves of photographs (printed on one side & 1 leaf colophon. 265 x 190 mm (10œ x 7œ inches).

Shanghai, 1932. 1 album oblong, olive green silk boards with rubbon ties and paper label onlay, 48 pages of tissue-guarded plates from photographs (mainly 2 pictures on each page) and 2 sketch maps, a very good copy, in its slip-case.
A very nice and rare pictorial document on the "Sino-Japanese Disturbances" in Shanghai, in 1932, after the Moukden Incident.

Tokyo - Shangai, Huahe Publishing, Showa 7 ( 1932 ) , format oblong in-4°, 19 x 26 cm, 2 coloured maps + 48 leaves with photo illustrations (mostly 2 per page, printed on recto side only), captions in English. Japanese binding in high quality reseda green silk with jacquard pattern, with two silk ties. Very nice copy, each illustated leaf protected with serpente leaves.
