Der Zwischentitel: Divers traictez d'architecture, pour l'art de bien bastir ... Einband stärker beschabt, an den Ecken abgeschabt. Kleine Fehlstellen am Kapital. Ohne fliegende Vorsätze. Tafeln in schwarzer Tinte handschriftlich numeriert. Viele Tafeln falsch eingebunden. S. 31/32 mit Einriss.

Le Terme dei Romani disegnate da Andrea Palladio e ripubblicate con la giunta di alcune osservazioni da Ottavio Bertotti Scamozzi giusta l'esemplare del Lord Conte di Burlingthon impresso in Londra l'anno 1732.

Vicenza, Da Tommaso Parise, 1810, small in-4°, 23.5 cm, engraved frontispiece with the bust of Palladio within aedicule + title (verso blank) + pp 3-48 + 18 folding engraved plates, bound in contemporary supple vellum over boards, vellum with minor soiling, a handsome copy. This is the fourth edition. The first edition appeared also in Vicenza , by Francis Modena in 1785. The plates in our in-4° edition are drawn and engraved by Mugnon. The second edition ( Vicenza, Rossi, 1797) is considered as the 5th volume to Scamozzi's '' Le fabbriche e i disegni di Andrea Palladio....''. In our edition plates 18-25 are not present. Allthough they are still mentioned in the text and were included in previous editions they were omitted here. These 7 plates depict capitals to be found in other works of Palladio and have as such nothing to do with the subject of this book.

Vicence [Vicenza], chez François Modena, 1785. Deux parties reliées en un vol. au format gd in-folio (522 x 353 mm) de 1 frontispice gravé n.fol., 35 et 32 pp. + 25 planches gravées. Reliure postérieure de demi-veau havane à coins, dos lisse orné de filets gras dorés, doubles filets maigres dorés, pièce de titre de maroquin havane, titre doré.
Edition originale rare. Premier tirage des 25 (sur 25) planches gravées (dont double-page). L'iconographie est complétée par un frontispice gravé signé Gaetano Testolini Vicent. Belle impression sur papier fort. Texte en français suivi de sa traduction (avec page de titre séparée) en italien. ''C'est à Scamozzi que l'on doit la redécouverte de ces planches après la disparition de Palladio que ne les avait jamais publiées ; seule une partie vit le jour à Londres en 1732.'' (Kapandji). Reliure présentant frottements et manques superficiels. Angles émoussés. Faiblesse affectant les mors (demeurant cependant solides). Plissure affectant le premier feuillet de garde. Rousseurs dans le corps d'ouvrage (principalement marginales). Infime perforation en marge des feuillets liminaires. Tâches affectant les fonds de cahiers des planches. Cerne angulaire très claire affectant les planches. Lesquelles demeurent cependant dans un bel état de conservation.
