‎ 1820 Couverture rigide Paris, Paul Domère, 1820. 2 volumes in-8 (20 x 13 cm), reliure demi-chagrin bordeaux, dos lisse orné, plats frottés. Tome 1 : faux-titre, titre, 22 pages non chiffrées, 332 pages ; tome 2 : faux-titre, titre, 10 pages non chiffrées, 352 pages, rares rousseurs, petit manque de papier au coin inférieur de la page 280 (tome 2). Ex-libris manuscrit à la page de titre (Guérin). Jean-Joseph Régnault-Warin (1773-1844) est un romancier et pamphlétaire français. Incarcéré en 1800 après la publication d'un roman considéré comme royaliste par les autorités, il doit sa libération à l'intervention de l'épouse du premier consul, Joséphine de Beauharnais, qui avait lu et apprécié l'ouvrage en question, "Le cimetière de la Madeleine". A la fin du tome 2, "les éphémérides biographiques, consulaires et impériales" constituent une chronologie détaillée de l'Empire et de Napoléon. Bon exemplaire de cette édition originale.‎
