‎Exceptionnel exemplaire offert à au vainqueur d'une épreuve des Jeux Olympiques de Berlin en 1936, avec l'étiquette "XI Olympiade Berlin 1936 Dem Sieger zur Erinnerung" ("Au vainqueur en souvenir"), et dédicacé par Konrad Frey (1909-1974) gymnaste allemand et athlète ayant remporté le plus grand nombre de médailles lors des Jeux de Berlin ! Il en remporta 6 : médaille d'or aux barres parallèles, médaille d'or au cheval d'arçons, médaille d'or au concours par équipes, médaille d'argent à la barre fixe, médaille de bronze au sol, médaille de bronze au concours général individuel. Il termina deuxième au tableau des médailles, derrière Jesse Owen (4 médailles d'or). Etat très satisfaisant (qq. rouss., petites restaurations et petits mq. à la fragile jaquette, bon état par ailleurs). - Exceptional copy offered to the winner of an Olympic Games event in Berlin in 1936, with the label "XI Olympiade Berlin 1936 Dem Sieger zur Erinnerung" ("To the winner in memory"), and dedicated by Konrad Frey (1909-1974 ) German gymnast and athlete who won the most medals at the Berlin Games ! He won 6: gold medal on parallel bars, gold medal on pommel horse, gold medal in team competition, silver medal on high bar, bronze medal on floor, bronze medal in the individual general competition. He finished second in the medal table, behind Jesse Owen (4 gold medals). Little foxing, dustjacket slightly repaired with small lacks, otherwise in good condition. - 4°. 61 S. Text mit Textabbildungen und 94 Phototafeln. Leicht stockfleckig, Schutzumschlag etwas repariert und mit kleinen Mängeln, sonst in gutem Zustand. Außergewöhnliches Exemplar von einem Buch, das allen Siegern bei den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1936 in Berlin geschenkt wurde. Alle solche Exemplare beinhalteten eine Etikette mit folgendem Hinweis "XI Olympiade Berlin 1936 Dem Sieger zur Erinnerung". Das außergewöhnliche Aspekt von diesem einzelnen Exemplar liegt daran, daß es dem Deutschen Turner Konrad Frey (1909-1974) gehörte. K. Frey war der zweiterfolgreichste Teilnehmer (nach Jesse Owens) bei den Olympischen Spielen in Berlin. Bei den Berliner Spielen gewann Konrad Frey insgesamt 6 Medaillen. Er gewann insbesondere drei Goldmedaillen (vs. 4 für Jesse Owens): die Goldmedaillen am Barren, Seitpferd, und mit der Mannschaft im Mehrkampf. Drei Silbermedaillen gewann er bzw. am Reck, am Boden sowie im Einzelwettbewerb des Mehrkampfes. ‎
