‎Collection of three personal scrapbooks by the painter. Collectie van drie persoonlijke plakboeken van de schilder. Collection de trois livres de souvenirs composés par le peintre.‎

‎"6. 1) In-folio, half cloth, ca. 40 pp, with press-cuttings, original photographs, etc from 1948-1953. 2) In-folio album, half cloth, ca. 80 pp, contains original photographs, press-cuttings, copies of his personal exhibition catalogues (1957, idem 18 Oct. 1958, idem 10 Oct. 1958, idem 8 Oct. 1960,) with the names of the buyers and with the manuscript commentary of the visitors. 3) Documentation from the period 1961-1962, in-folio, ca. 30 pp (water damage). Added are a collection of ca. 30 original photographs of work by the painter and views from exhibitions (some with water damage). (A unique documentation on the work of the artist, some water damage, some photographs removed, compiled in a rather disorderly way). Jean Govaerts studied at the Brussels' Academy (1909-1913 ; 1916-1917) Landscape and marine paintings (Ostend, Hautes Fagnes etc.)."‎
