L'opera deriva da un eccellente lavoro di luminari del XVIII secolo supportati dal Re francese Louis XV in seguito guidati dallo stesso Turpin, considerato al tempo il più grande incisore di botanica.<BR>La maggior parte delle incisioni sono firmate Turpin & Pretre.<BR>Carta bianchissima e resistente di ottima qualità.ENGRAVING: Lythograph with coeval colouring with acquarello painting AUTHOR: Lambert after Turpin ATLAS: Flore medicinale - Paris, Panckoucke 1814 SIZE OF PAGE: cm 21,5x12,5 SIZE OF THE ENGRAVING: cm 15,5x9 PERIOD: 1814 CONDITIONS: good conditions This imponent work was made up of different volumes and contained hundreds of engravings that represented all the plant and animal kingdom. This work derives from an excellent work of luminaries of the 18th century supported by the french King Louis XV and then directed by the same Turpin that was considered as the greatest botanical engraver of his time. The most of his engravings are signed Turpin & Pretre.<BR>Very white strong paper of good quality.
