First edition this scarce photobook depicting various scenes from Japanese fishermens lives. OCLC only record three copies and copies rarely find their way into the trade. Takagi Teijiro (born circa 1875) trained under renowned photographer Kozaburo Tamamura and managed the Tamamura branch in Kobe until the early 20th century. He eventually took ownership of the store and gained the right to use the Tamamura name. Takagi is credited with producing over 30 English-language photobooks showcasing Japanese culture and customs. He continued using the Tamamura name until 1914, when he rebranded his business as the T. Takagi Photographic Studio & Art Gallery, which remained in operation until at least 1929.
