The uncommon first edition of Tiedemann’s exposition on stoic philosophy in which he argues that Stoicism closely anticipated the philosophy of John Locke Dietrich Tiedemann (1748 - 1803) was a German philosopher and historian of philosophy born in Bremervörde. He was father to physiologist Friedrich Tiedemann (1781–1861).
