Graesse 6:358. From the library of Peder Hygom (1692-1764), with his own hand-written signature on title-page, dated 1724. P. Hygom was a famous Danish Bishop, who was a good friend of the great Danish pietist poet and writer, Hans Adolph Brorson.

1665 reliure vélin d'époque ivoire à rabat (binding full vellum with reduction) in-seize (sextodecimo), dos long (spine without raised band) muet, plats muets (cover without text), tranches lisses (smooth edges), gouttière rognée (smooth fore-edge), sans illustration (no illustration) excepté une superbe gravure titre (engraved title page) gravée sur bois en noir et des lettrines (and illuminated of dropped initials) gravées sur bois en noir, très rares et légères rousseurs (rares and lights redness marks, pièces liminaires + 363 pages, 1665 Amsterdami : apud Johannem Blaeu Editeur,
Sénèque (Lucius Annaeus Seneca) est un philosophe de l'école stoïcienne, dramaturge et homme d'État romain du Ier siècle de l'ère chrétienne. Brunet 5 colonne 286. les notes de Thomas Farnaby (or Farnabie, vers 1575 à Londres - 12 juin 1647), grammairien anglais, sont estimées..... Livre trés rare....!! et en bon état malgré le petit défaut signalé (very good condition in spite of the small defect indicated).
