‎First edition of Acta Eruditorum 1729 containing many reviews by influential contemporary mathematicians, philosophers and historians amonst others a review of Danish astronomer Horrebow's Copernicus Triumphans (1727): ""Peder Horrebow, a fellow Dane and student of Rømer who ended up a professor in Copenhagen, concluded in 1727 that finally, at long last, he had proved the parallax, presenting his findings in a book with the revealing title Copernicus triumphans. The book caused quite a sensation among Europe's astronomical community - and as it soon turned out, Horrebow's claim was actually based more on sensation than on reality. Copernicus triumphans is, nevertheless, an important work in the Danish history of science, simply because it marks the ultimate victory for Copernicanism"". (Kragh, Science in Denmark, P. 93)‎
