‎2. Antwerpen, in-8° and square in-8°, 1950 (first biennale exhibition) - 1983 (17th biennale exhibition), sewn, orig. wrappers, catalogues of between 50 and 200 pp, with b/w ills. Collection of the first 17 catalogues of the two-yearly exhibition of modern sculpture in the Antwerp open air museum. Missing are the catalogues 10 and 12 ( 1969 and 1973) . The catalogues cover nearly the whole second half of the 20th century and offer a fine overview of the evolution of sculpture during this period. La couleur crème est légèrement foncée sur le dos, mais dans l'ensemble, la reliure est propre et soignée. Cet ensemble comprend : Catalogue 10. 123 pages. 323 articles. Propre et soigné, avec un léger noircissement des pages. Catalogue 11. Les couvertures d'origine sont légèrement tachées et froissées. 158 pages. 300 articles. Catalogue 14. 300 [vi] pages. 675 articles. Chacun des catalogues regorge de planches et d'illustrations en noir et blanc. Gumuchian & Cie. était un libraire antiquaire parisien réputé et éditeur d'importants catalogues de livres rares. 25,5 cm x 19 cm.‎

‎First edition. A nicely bound up collection of three bookseller catalogues from 1928-1930. Cream cloth binding with a leather label to the spine. The cream is a little darkened to the spine, but overall is a clean and tidy binding. This collection comprises: Catalogue 10. 123 pages. 323 items. Clean and tidy with a little darkening to the pages. Catalogue 11. Original covers are a little stained and creased. 158 pages. 300 items. Catalogue 14. 300 [vi] pages. 675 items. Each of the catalogues is full of black and white plates and illustrations. A couple of the title pages have slightly loose, but holding. Gumuchian & Cie. was a well known Parisian antiquarian bookseller and publisher of important rare book catalogues. 25.5cm x 19cm. .‎

It is an indispensable heuristic tool, but also a witness to the development of codicology and cultural history. Such a tool was lacking for specialists of Armenian manuscripts, philologists, linguists, and art historians. Armenian Manuscripts. Catalogues, Collections, Libraries (in English) is the second edition, revised and updated, of the R pertoire des biblioth ques et des catalogues de manuscrits arm niens first published in 1992. It includes the four supplements published in the journal Le Mus on in 1995, 2000, 2004, and 2019, as well as new sections devoted e.g. to the main copy centers of Armenian manuscripts. The book provides a full bibliography on all repositories of Armenian manuscripts in the world, public and private, large and small. It also gives many insights about the fate of Armenian manuscripts in the course of history: where and when they have been produced, mostly in medieval monastic centers, how they escaped invasions, fires, thefts and even destructions linked to the genocide of the Armenians, and finally how they ended up in private or public collections where they can be studied and admired today.
