Catalogue édité à l'occasion de l'exposition "Hommage à Raphaël : Raphaël et l'art français", présentée au Grand Palais, Paris, du 15 novembre 1983 au 13 février 1984. Textes de Jacques Thuillier (Présence d'un peintre), Martine Vasselin (La fortune gravée de Raphaël en France), Jean-Pierre Cuzin (Raphaël et l'art français : introduction au catalogue), Catalogue, Peintures et dessins, Gravures... — "L'année 1983 a marqué le cinquième centenaire de la naissance du peintre et architecte Raphaël Sanzio (1483-1520). Pour célébrer cet anniversaire, les Musées Nationaux de France ont présenté cette exposition exceptionnelle sur "Raphaël et l'art français", tenue au Grand-Palais. Elle fut mise sur pied par Jean-Pierre Cuzin, conservateur au Département des peintures du Musée du Louvre. In-8°, maroquin vert du temps à grain long, dos lisse orné, frise dorée en encadrement sur les plats. 22 planches d'estampes gravées sur cuivre (env 10 x 7,5 cm hors marges). Dos un peu usagé, quelques légères traces de frottements sur les plats, coins et coupes frottés. Menues rousseurs éparses n'affectant pas les gravures, petite fente à la charnière d'un feuillet. François-Pierre Janet (1784-1870) était graveur, libraire, marchand d'estampes et imprimeur lithographe. - Natif de Paris, fils du libraire-relieur Pierre-Étienne Janet (1746-1830) et frère de l'éditeur de musique Pierre-Honoré Janet (1779?-1832) et du libraire-relieur (Pierre-Claude-) Louis Janet (1788-1840). Mentionné comme graveur à Paris dès 1810, il a gravé quelques planches de caricature de murs et des portraits. Exerce la librairie dès 1812 sans être breveté.

La joie de lire, 2009. Grand in-4, cartonnage couleurs. Coins très légèrement frottés.
