Dimension extérieur : 61 x 49,5 cm. Cuvette : 53,5 x 41,7 cm. Gravure d'après la peinture d'Horace Vernet (1789-1863). Gravé par Jean-Pierre-Marie Jazet. Magnifique gravure, en excellent état. D'après le tableau du grand peintre Horace Vernet, la peinture originale ayant été exposée au Salon de 1835. Sa localisation actuelle est inconnue. Gravure des années 1830.

Publié par Goupil et Vibert, boulevard Montmarte, 15 rue de Lanery. La gravure est accompagné d'un petit texte d'explication : Le serviteur d'Abraham s'étant approché de Rébecca, lui dit : donnez moi un peu de l'eau que vous portez afin que je boive. Elle lui répondit : buvez Monseigneur, et ôtant aussitôt le vase qu'elle portait sur l'épaule, et le penchant sur son bras elle lui donna à boire (La Genèse, chapitre XXIV). Horace Vernet, né à Paris le le 30 juin 1789 où il est mort le 17 janvier 1863. C'était un peintre français et un membre de l'institut. Jean-Pierre-Marie Jazet est né le 31 juillet 1788 à Paris et mort à Yerres le 16 août 1871. C'était un graveur et un aquafortiste.
