Gravure de la série l'Instruction au roi, en l'exercice de monter à cheval.
Dimension extérieur 36,6 x 46 et cuvette 30,8 x 40,4 cm. 17 ème siècle, belle gravure d'époque, certains coins restaurés au papier Japon et l'ensemble de la gravure est collée sur une feuille contemporaine classique. On peut trouver le nom de différents personnage, comme l'illustre conte de Soissons. Antoine de Pluvinel, né en 1552 à Crest et mort le 22 ou 23 août 16201 à Paris, est l'un des précurseurs de l'école d'équitation française, avec Salomon de La Broue, il a fait évoluer les techniques équestres utilisées en Italie à la fin du xvie siècle. Auteur d'un célèbre manuel d’équitation, L'Instruction du Roy en l'Exercice de Monter à Cheval, il forma Louis XIII et eut également comme élève Richelieu. Source : Wikipédia
