Tirage strictement limité à 55 ex. signés au justificatif par Gaspard-Maillol ; celui-ci 1 des 25 sur papier pur chiffon (N°XLVI). Papier fabriqué par l'artiste avec le monogramme MT, correspondant à sa seconde fabrique.1 illustration en couverture, 8 bois gravés dans le texte pour la préface et 12 planches hors texte de Gaspard-Maillol. Vignette gravée sur bois (marque de léditeur) en 4e de couverture.Texte du justificatif : « Cet Album a été imprimé au Mans, sur presse à bras, par le graveur R. N. Raimbault et la Couverture par Ch. Monnoyer imprimeur. Louvrage a été tiré, sur les Papiers de Montval à la cuve et à la forme, des fabriques de Pierre Térouanne et Gaspard-Maillol ».Une note manuscrite de lartiste insérée dans un autre exemplaire passé en vente renseigne précisément : « Les gravures sont tout à fait mes premières gravures exécutées à Marly-le-Roi de 1910 à 1914. Cet album devait paraitre en 1914. La guerre en a empêché la parution, et n'a pu être publié qu'au Mans, qu'après avoir reconstitué dans cette ville ma petite fabrique de papier de Montval. Voilà pourquoi les feuilles de cet album sont filigranées MT (2e fabrique) ». The war prevented its publication, and it could only be published in Le Mans, after having reconstituted my small paper factory in Montval in this town. This is why the sheets of this album are watermarked MT (2nd factory)."
