Le capitaine au long-cours Armand Hayet fut l'un de ces marins issus d'une véritable civilisation du large, qui, jusqu'à ses derniers jours, resta profondément attaché à l'inoubliable souvenir de ces hommes magnifiques et à leurs fabuleux navires.
