[ circa 1830 ], 60 planches en couleurs (numérotées de 1 à 15 puis de 1 à 45)
Exceptionnel recueil parfaitement complet des 60 superbes planches en couleurs, à savoir les 45 lithographies du recueil de "Trophées et attributs allégoriques pour les Sciences, les Arts, la Mythologie et la Religion" (contenant notamment les planches de "Meubles et Instruments de Musique au Moyen-Age") et les 15 planches de Trophées Militaires Anciens et Modernes. Ces superbes planches lithographiées en couleurs (lithographie de Kaeppelin, Chaillou éditeur) dessinées par Benoît Pécheux (1779-1831) couvrent des thèmes très divers : Attributs de la chasse au faucon, attributs de physique expérimentale, Trophée de l'Anatomie, trophée de l'artillerie, etc... Bon exemplaire (reliure un peu frottée, qq. brunissures, des rouss. mais très bel ensemble), de la plus grande rareté ! Exceptional, perfectly complete collection of 60 superb color plates, namely the 45 lithographs from the collection of "Trophées et attributs allégoriques pour les Sciences, les Arts, la Mythologie et la Religion" (notably containing the plates of "Furniture and Musical Instruments in Middle Ages ") and the 15 plates of "Trophées Militaires Anciens et Modernes". These superb colored lithographed plates (lithographs by Kaeppelin, Chaillou editor) drawn by Benoît Pécheux, cover very different themes : falcon hunting, experimental physics, Anatomy Trophy, artillery trophy, etc. .. Good copy (slightly rubbed binding, some browning, some foxing, but very nice set), highly scarce!
