Yann Gaillard ADIEU COLBERT
Christian Bourgois 2026 2026. ouvrage broché 287 pages aux éditions Christian Bourgois imprimé en 2000 ( édition originale); valeur librairie 120FF. A la fin du siècle les Français furent traversés par le doute. Ils sentaient que leurs habitudes leur société leur Etat leur modèle en un mot n'était plus adapté au monde en train de se faire. Ils se demandaient si la France avait encore un rôle à y jouer si l'Europe allait lui servir de porte-voix ou d'éteignoir. Ils perdaient aussi confiance en leurs élites républicaines qui elles-mêmes semblaient douter. Un témoignage de ce climat ambigu est l'Adieu Colbert de Yann Gaillard. Pupille de la nation fils d'instituteur ancien élève de l'ENA inspecteur des finances directeur du cabinet de ministres (Edgar Faure Robert Boulin) président d'une petite banque élu local et pour finir sénateur l'auteur est assez représentatif de son milieu et de son temps. Ecrivain à ses heures il donne sous l'icône de Colbert une sorte de livre de raison qui traverse institutions et problèmes tels que les hasards de la vie administrative et politique l'y ont promené. Il écoute grincer l'Etat sans être persuadé que celui-ci mérite tout le mal qu'on dit de lui. Peu sensible à la tentation souverainiste il croit aux chances d'une France qui renoncerait à certaines illusions pour jouer en l'Europe et au-delà sa carte de nation fondatrice. Cet adieu à Colbert est aussi celui d'une génération de transition qui doit savoir s'effacer avec élégance. en TRES BON ETAT complet et solide sans déchirures ni annotations ; intérieur impeccable propre et frais; ouvrage pas loin de l'état neuf
