Fort-de-France. Imprimerie Officielle. 1946. In-8 (136 x 209 mm) broché, couverture rouge brique imprimée, 14 pages. Bel hommage de l'auteur au Capitaine de Vaisseau Fatou, commandant le Jeanne d'Arc en souvenir de sa visite aux Antilles... Feuilles un peu brunies sinon bon état. Peu courant.
Sans lieu, ni date, fin 19e? 1 grand plan dépliant (105*74 cm) de Fort de France, en Martinique, sans doute manuscrit, quelques déchirures aux pliures, mais bon état général. Tout à fait rare.

Micheline Marlin-Godier nous conte l'histoire de la ville de Fort-de-France entre 1884 et 1914. Il s'agit pour l'auteur de mettre en évidence le fait urbain à la fin du XIXe siècle et dans les premières années du XXe siècle. Le chef-lieu a connu de profondes mutations consécutives à deux drames qui ont profondément marqué la Martinique : l'incendie de 1890 qui provoque le départ de nombreux Foyalais, mais qui démontre également les insuffisances du mode de construction adopté après le tremblement de terre de 1839. La destruction de la ville de Saint-Pierre en 1902 a également un impact sur l'évolution de Fort-de-France. L'auteur nous dresse le portrait des maires et des figures marquantes des différentes municipalités qui ont oeuvré à l'édification du chef-lieu. Voir le sommaire sur photos jointes.
