36ème volume des "Curiosités bourbonnaises". Cet érudit, spécialiste de la Combraille s'est inspiré de l'ouvrage de Perrot de Saint-Angel sur "Montluçon", ainsi que de ceux de Mauve sur "la contrebande en Bourbonnais", Funck-Brentano "Mandrin" ert R. Deklvaux "Gabeleurs et faux-sauniers", pour établir son étude sur la Gabelle dans la région de Montluçon.
