Paris, Trouvé, 1829 ; in-8 de [2] ff., 151 pp., reliure postérieure, demi-maroquin tête de nègre à coins, plat de vélin crème, dos à nerfs, tête dorée, couverture et dos doublés.
Ouvrage très peu commun, absent des bibliographies courantes. Louis Bonaparte s'insurge contre l'Histoire de Napoléon de Walter Scott dont il considère que « le but évident est non seulement de rabaisser la gloire de Napoléon, mais encore de dénigrer toute la nation, et principalement ses armées immortelles toujours triomphantes... ». Seconde édition.- Davois, Les Bonaparte littérateurs, 17. Fac-similé de l'écriture du comte de Saint-Leu avec sa devise en hollandais traduite en français « Fay ce que doy, advienne que pourra ». Ces inscriptions visaient à authentifier le livre. Volume un peu gauchi, dos éclairci.

Paris, Calmann Lévy, 1876, in-12, [4]-XIX-298 pp, Demi-maroquin bordeaux à coins postérieur, dos à faux nerfs, tête dorée, couvertures et dos conservées [Laurenchet], Édition originale, parue dans la série des Oeuvres complètes de Stendhal (Michel et Calmann Lévy, 1853-1876). L'auteur entreprit l'écriture de la Vie de Napoléon au cours de son séjour à Milan en 1817; il revint dessus en 1818 après avoir lu les Considérations sur la Révolution française de Mme de Staël. Inachevée, comme le seront les Mémoires sur Napoléon, la Vie est publiée plus de 20 ans après sa mort. Placards sur papier bleu en tête et fin de volume. Bel exemplaire. Papier jauni. Elle est présidée par le professeur Laignel-Lavastine, médecin de la Pitié et membre de l'Académie de Médecine. Thèse en deux parties : l'une comportant trois chapitres sur le quotidien du Dr. Evans et l'autre comportant cinq chapitres sur les dentistes parisiens de 1851 à 1870 ainsi que quelques pages sur les brevets d'Invention d'art dentaire de 1851 à 1869. Nombreuses illustrations (caricatures, publicités, couvertures de journaux) en noir de la collection FERRAND (professeur à l'école dentaire de Paris et fondateur du musée dentaire). Très bon état.
