Ses tentatives sont constamment contrariées par sa distraction et ses inventions saugrenues l'empêchant pratiquement de quitter Paris tandis que sa voisine entreprend elle-même le voyage à bicyclette

Fac-similé de l'édition originale de 1899 à laquelle on a ajouté au verso de chaque planche les culs-de-lampe en noir dessinés par Christophe pour l'édition de 1900.
